How To Age Gracefully

What if you could slow down the aging process in your skin and body? Fine lines, wrinkles and aging are a natural part of life, but that doesn’t mean you can’t help your body age more gracefully.

Be mindful of what you are putting in your body and how your body is acting. Certain foods, stress and environment make the body do funny things, such as breakout, bloat, become dry, irritated and tired.

When you are seeing or feeling these things your skin and body are trying to tell you something. Help it out by following these few tips to keep your skin and body feeling and looking it’s best.

Drinking coffee for breakfast, not getting enough sleep, constant state of stress/fight or flight, consuming alcohol and caffeine, smoking and skipping spf are all ways you are harming your bodies collagen.

Start your day with a protein packed breakfast to keep your cortisol levels down. High cortisol and sugar spikes cause collagen breakdown.

Sleeeeeeeeep! Your body deserves 7-8 hours of sleep to regenerate.

Make sure you are applying your high performance skin care products at night so your body can use them to boost collagen and elastin and help the skin stay firm. Must haves are retinol, peptides and rich creams to lock in moisture. Check out the Max Repair cream is packed full of firming peptides along with the Ageless Eye Cream with retinol to help smooth out those crows feet!

Gently exfoliate the skin 2-3 times/week with a chemical or enzymatic mask. This will help slough away any skin cell build end that is accumulating on the skin. The vital c hydrating enzyme mask with the Iluma brightening powders are my go to.

Daily always apply a high quality Vitamin C serum to protect the skin cells, promote collagen production, lighten and prevent pigment and brighten the skin. And of course a SPF every 2 hours to product the skin from the sun.

If you are doing and trying all the things and are still struggling with unhappy skin or just aren’t feeling your best, get yourself and Esthetician.

XO,

Rachel
